I Will Be Salsa Dancing With The Stars

So I had to figure out how to sort of make this post doll related.  The Dancing with the Stars dolls was the best I could do.  No, I didn't buy them, nor am I going to buy them.  I am an avid fan of the show, Dancing with the Stars, which begins next week.  Since the show began I've wanted to take ballroom dance lessons and marry Maxim.  I had Maxim on my mind when the ladies at the bacherlorette party had salsa dance lessons at The Den.  You know I live my dreams through my dolls.

A couple of days ago I threw in a non doll related post about Google Offers.  It has opened up my eyes to some wonderful activities here in my area.

Guess what offer showed up today?  90% off Salsa dance lessons!  $25 for 25 lessons normally $260.  I hesitated for a moment.  You know fear can do that to you.  Then I bought it!  This is what I'm calling a full circle moment.

The lessons take place at the Academy Ballroom ATL.  This is their ballroom floor.

This is Myron "Smoove" Abernathy, the Salsa teacher.

You can see him in action here.  This was in 2009.

Lessons are on Thursday evenings for 1 hour.  I hope to start next week.  Wish me luck!  Thank you Google Offers!  I wonder if I will find my Maxim there.  Have you stepped out of your box, lately?

  1. Hello from Spain: I love the outfits you bought. If it is sold in stores of my country I will buy it. I like clothes with the guitar. Barbie shoes are very original. I like Nikki and Dario trip by plane.
With regard to the few nurseries that exist in Spain, parents have to hire babysitters that are usually very expensive because they are at least 8 hours with the baby while parents work. In Spain there are fewer births of babies because parents do not know whether to work with who leave with the children until age 3 are at school. in America what you do best. What luck!
On this week's video is really a great job. It is very well done. The bags that you bought D7Ana are very nice. Cynthia I have the vest. It is of Liv. I love it. I'm glad you're pregnant. I hope everything goes well. I like the stewardess. It sounds to me that is the basic Barbie in a swimsuit, right? I can not wait to buy it. Keep in touch.

  2. Marta - That's so interesting about the parents and daycare in Spain. I love hearing how things work in different countries. Cynthia's dress is not LIV. It is from the Fashionista Airplane Pilot and Stewardess outfit set from Mattel. The stewardess is NOT a Basic doll. She is the Cynthia Rowley collectible doll from many years ago. The blue dress that Danielle is wearing in the cake tasting blog post is her original dress and she came with a little shopping bag. We'll talk soon.

  5. OMG...exactly how many hours are in your days down there in Georgia? You do more in one day than a normal person does in a week. You live through your dolls and I live through you. You exhaust me....lol I'm really excited about this new class though and hope you'll keep us updated with all of your new dance moves. And we want all of the details about this new handsome Maxim we know you're going to meet. ; )

    1. Debbie - LOL! You know the saying, if you want something done, give it to a busy person. The more I have to do, the more I get done. My day literally never ends. I work throughout the night. I have mastered the art of multitasking. It really is like a disease at times, though. I have way too much energy and am always trying to use it up, but it keeps coming back. I keep trying to figure out a way to sell energy in my Etsy shop. I would make a killing.

  7. Sounds great Vanessa, enjoy. I took a few salsa lessons and few years ago, but I could definitely use a refresher. Caliente! (is that spelled right?)

    1. studioseven - Thanks! Si, caliente is spelled correctly. Pull those dancing shoes back out. I've always heard how much fun salsa dancing is. I can't wait to be whirled and twirled.

  8. Dancing, wooding, dolling... you are a triple threat now. Hope you have lots of fun getting your twirl on. ^_^

  9. Hey It's Muff - When I saw 90% off I thought, Muff would never turn down a bargain like this. She would say 'that's a no brainer.' And I agree. Let's hope I don't twirl and break something.

  10. I stepped out of the box just last year. I know dancing is my passion, but I never got the chance to show it off since I was busy with everything at work. Now, I'm happily taking Salsa classes as well. It's great to do something you really love, right? Good luck to both of us! :)

    1. Eidine - Thanks for stopping by my blog. So happy to hear you are making time to do something you love. Way to go! I've really enjoyed the classes, so far. My biggest problem is completely letting the man lead. What a change for me. But, I'm learning.
